This is a light portable kayak that is stable and handles well in the water. The drop stitch floor provides an excellent surface to paddle against and it's really easy to setup and pack away.

The Razor Kayaks X1 High-Pressure is an excellent kayak that performs well in the water. There is good storage space, it's easy to manoeuvre and great fun to paddle. The solid all Tech-Stitch design and removable fin provide all the best elements of a traditional kayak. If we could only have one kayak this would be it.

For the price this kayak tracks surprisingly well, is fairly stable and isn't too hard to handle. Our main knocks on it are that it's made with thin materials that may be susceptible to puncture and it's slow in the water. Easy to dry, it's an ok budget option but only for recreational use in good conditions.

This is definitely the cheapest kayak we tested and in our opinion it does feel more like a pool toy than a kayak. It handles ok and is easy to dry but the cockpit is hard to squeeze into and the thin materials make it susceptible to puncture.

We love the stability and comfort of this kayak. It also has some great storage for taking on an overnight trip. Our main issues are the setup/pack down and speed in the water. We really noticed the width and it was a bit hard to manoeuvre this kayak around.

On paper this should be a great kayak. It certainly delivers on the speed and is the closest inflatable kayak in terms of design to a hard shell. It's a bit heavy to carry but the main issue we have is the lack of stability and less than great finish quality of the build.

Spacious and stable, this is a great kayak for beginners or someone who wants the option to go fishing without committing to a full-fledged fishing kayak. Suitable for class 3 rapids it certainly won't fall apart on you either. In terms of performance it is a bit slow in the water and doesn't track that well in a straight line.

The Sea Eagle 300X Explorer is compact, quick to set up and easy to pack down. Compared to some of the other top end models however it doesn't perform as well in the water. Its wide base does provide a bit of extra stability but it does make it a harder to paddle, with straight line speed and tracking suffering a bit.

This is a comfortable kayak that performs pretty well in the water. Tracking really well in a straight line it is also easy to manoeuvre. With all the inflation points it does take time to setup and you need to wait a day or two for it to dry before putting it back in the bag which isn't very practical.
