Advanced Elements Straitedge Kayak
Spacious and stable, this is a great kayak for beginners or someone who wants the option to go fishing without committing to a full-fledged fishing kayak. Suitable for class 3 rapids it certainly won't fall apart on you either. In terms of performance it is a bit slow in the water and doesn't track that well in a straight line.
Sea Eagle 300X Explorer Kayak
The Sea Eagle 300X Explorer is compact, quick to set up and easy to pack down. Compared to some of the other top end models however it doesn't perform as well in the water. Its wide base does provide a bit of extra stability but it does make it a harder to paddle, with straight line speed and tracking suffering a bit.
Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Kayak
This is a comfortable kayak that performs pretty well in the water. Tracking really well in a straight line it is also easy to manoeuvre. With all the inflation points it does take time to setup and you need to wait a day or two for it to dry before putting it back in the bag which isn't very practical.
Advanced Elements Expedition Elite Kayak
Really solid in the water with a good storage capacity, this is an enjoyable kayak to paddle. The cockpit is comfortable and there is a curved bar the lifts the deck to give you the little bit of extra space you need for your legs.
Oru Beach LT Kayak
A hard shell foldable kayak that doesn't require inflation. The Oru Beach LT is a lightweight durable kayak that handles well in the water. It is a expensive, the thin seat design is a bit less comfortable than some others it could also benefit from deck strips to enclose and strengthen it overall.
OA Hanlu 4P Tent
The OA Hanlu 4P is a strong easy to set up tent that will last for years. It's missing a power inlet but has all the other basic features you would need. Our only real knock on it is that its clearance height of 185cm is a bit low for us. Great option though if you don't need the height and are just looking for a sturdy reliable tent.
OA Comfort Camper XL10
The Comfort Camper XL10 is a minimalist tent. The setup time is about 10 mins which means this is better suited to longer camping trips where you are not moving around. The pole materials will stand up to the elements but it's light on features. In saying that the price is right and it does provide a large roomy space to live.
Coleman 4P Silver Evo Tent
The Coleman 4P Silver tent is a basic tent that is versatile enough for touring or camping. Our main criticism is that the materials used in the frame and fabrics aren't of the same class as some of the more expensive options. In saying that it's an easy setup and low price make this a good budget option.
Oztrail 10P Block Out Tent
The one thing the Oztrail 10P Block Out has going for it is the size. With three rooms, the family or two couples have separate wings and a communal area. The quality of the materials used is not as good as some of the more expensive options which is our big knock on it.
Coleman 10P Gold Tent
This is a basic large family tent that is easy to setup and has a lot of different configuration options. We would be happy to have this tent as a good family camping option.
Oztent RV5 Tent
The Oztent RV5 is a very well constructed classic touring tent that will hold up to the elements and stand the test of time. The extremely simple push and lock setup is a great feature. The packed size of 2m means you need a roof rack or trailer.
Zempire Evo TXL V2 Air Tent
The Zempire Evo TXL V2 Air really surprised us. The air frame and solid design get a huge tick from us. We loved the extra large family spaces and multiple bedroom configuration options. With its simple setup and pack down this was one of our favourite tents for camping with the family.
BlackWolf Turbo Lite 240 Tent
The Black Wolf Turbo Lite is an excellent mid sized tent that can be used for touring or camping. Easy to setup and made with good quality materials, it has all the features we would want.
Spinifex Comfort Line Moon Chair
The Spinifex Comfort Line Moon chair is a bit, well, unimpressive. We can see how some people would like this style but really at the end of the day camp chairs aren't typically shaped this way for a reason. Has good padding but it's a basic chair that we found uncomfortable and the frame a bit flimsy.
Coleman 5 Position Padded Chair
The Coleman 5 position is a rigid well constructed chair. It is a bit aesthetically challenged and very bulky which makes it difficult to lug around without a carry bag but if you have the space then for the price this is a really good option.
BlackWolf Padded Chair
The Black Wolf padded chair is the best heavily padded chair we tested. As a personal preference we like something with a higher back and therefore wouldn't want to sit in it for hours.
Oztent Gecko Directors Chair
The Oztent Gecko Directors Chair is a solid chair that won't fall apart. It's a low back, upright rigid chair that is a great option if you like that style. It's a bit bulky when it packs down and we struggle to find practical uses for the side table.
Oztent King Goanna Chair
The Oztent King Goanna is a great comfortable chair that will stand the test of time. Very well laid out features with the drink holder and pockets on the seat make for a great experience. If we could only have one chair this would be it.
Oztrail Goliath Chair
This is a really great chair from Ozrtail. Packing down fairly small, plenty of padding and ways to adjust to fit your body. There are plenty of features to like, with insulated pockets, stubby holder and bottle opener. Excellent for a relaxing camping chair.
