Our Analysis & Ratings
Available as a small, medium or large, the Trekology Portable Table comes in metallic blue or brown. The large version is very versatile and great for camping trips, heading to the beach or for festivals. It’s small enough to store in the car, but keep in mind that its height is quite low, at about knee level, and it’s not as large as other tables.
Performance - It’s a low, knee-height table, so not a dining table, but it opens to 68.8x45.5x40x5cm. Unlike the smaller size which can be shaky and can fall over, the larger is slightly more stable, and the table doesn’t have anything under the slats, so any water or spills can drain through the small spaces.
Construction - The tabletop is aluminium, offering a durable, lightweight and waterproof surface. The base is also aluminium, and requires you just to open or fold it during assembly. The tabletop rolls over and attaches the top of the frame. The individual slats are connected with elastic.
Features - No tools are required for assembly with its reinforced hinged design. It has anti-slip leg clips on its feet, although these are quite small and it’s easy for the table to sink into soft ground. The rubber feet give it stability on different terrains, making it a great rugged camping table.
Portability - It’s incredibly compact, lightweight and easy to carry at 1.5kg and a folded size of 70x15x7cm. It comes with a carry bag with a strap so you can move it from the car to your campsite or a canoe.
Versatility - The Trekology Portable Table combines mobility and practicality as it’s easy to fit in a car and robust to handle loads up to 22.7kg. That’s not a lot, but it’s not designed as a dining table, more of a side table for a drink and a book at knee height. It’s also good for low camping chairs and for sitting on the ground. The setup is quick and intuitive.
Overall - An all-purpose camping table that’s lightweight and portable but does come with some downsides.
