Our Analysis & Ratings
The Zempire Kitpac Pro Large is the step up from the Kitpac Large V2, and it keeps everything that made the old one a top pick while fixing most of what we’d quibble about. It’s a sturdy, well-built bamboo table that’s a breeze to set up, which is exactly what you want when the snags are waiting and everyone’s hangry.
Performance - The big win here is stability. The V2 had a bit of a wobble (like most fold-up tables), but the Pro’s beefier aluminium frame stays planted, even when it’s loaded up. We found it really doesn’t budge. The bamboo top isn’t slippery like plastic, so your gear stays put while you’re prepping or cooking. The weight rating has doubled from 50kg to 100kg, so there’s heaps of headroom.
Construction - It’s got a 30/26mm extruded aluminium frame and a 13mm cross-laminated bamboo top. The top is heat-resistant, hygienic and easy to wipe down, and it looks a treat compared to the usual plastic or aluminium tops. New slide-out brace plates make setup and pack-down quicker, which is a handy upgrade over the V2.
Features - You still get the built-in bottle opener (a small thing you’ll end up using more than you’d expect) and a durable 600D carry bag. The new drop-down panel design lets you adjust the table size for tighter spaces, which is a nice trick the V2 didn’t have.
Portability - It still folds down in four panels into a long, slim package (103 x 14.5 x 23cm), which is easier to stow than tables that fold in half into one big flat slab. The catch: it’s heavier now at 9kg, up from 7.7kg. That extra weight helps with stability, but if you’re lugging it a fair way from the car, you’ll feel it. Fine for car camping, camper trailers and caravans, less great if you’re hauling it any distance on foot, but we’d take that compromise for the great quality table you get.
Versatility - Each leg adjusts individually and locks in with a lever flip, so levelling it on lumpy ground is quick. The legs adjust to any height (not just a couple of set positions), they’re ratcheted so they won’t slip once locked and there are measurement marks on the legs so you can match them up easily. The height range is 42 to 70cm, so it works as a coffee table or a dinner table. At 100 x 65cm there’s room for a double burner and cooking setup, or a full feast with the crew.
Overall - It’s not the lightest or the cheapest table going. Value-wise you do get what you pay for, but if you’re on a tight budget or counting every kilo, it might not be your pick. If you already own the V2, the Pro is a proper upgrade rather than a cosmetic refresh: stronger, steadier, quicker to set up and more flexible. For car campers and families who want a long-lasting table, we think it’s well worth it.
