Our Analysis & Ratings

The Vango Nevis 200 is a serviceable tent for the price. Its tunnel design makes it a bit tricky to set up and the interior space is fairly tight. The main feature is that you can set up the tent without getting the inner wet - which if you’ve ever been hiking through a downpour is helpful! We struggled with the lack of interior and storage space. However if price is a very important factor for you and you don't mind sacrificing a bit of comfort this is not a bad option.

Comfort - This tent is very compact and has barely enough room for 2 people lying head to toe. Also has limited head space.

Construction - The tunnel tent design and high waterproof ratings mean this will stand up to the elements. We however prefer a more solid structure and frame than this tent offers.

Features - The main feature of this tent is that you can pitch it in the rain without getting the inner wet. However we didn't like the single vestibule, difficult setup and lack of ventilation for Aussie conditions.

Size/Weight - Packed size of 46x15cm, weight of 2kg. Not a bad weight for a tent of this price.

Versatility - We wouldn't want to camp in this tent or camp in it on a multi day hike. If you don’t mind getting cosy it might be ok for a night here and there.

Overall - Living space isn't enough.
