Our Analysis & Ratings

This is the best pure hiking tent we reviewed. Incredibly lightweight for a tent of this quality, with good features and large vestibules. The tapered design can be a bit narrow and the materials aren't as strong as some of the others we reviewed but if weight is your main concern then those sacrifices are well worth it.

Comfort - Generous length but narrow as the tent is tapered at the foot, leading to a less spacious feel than some of the other tents we looked at.

Construction - This tent is built to balance weight and features. Using lower denier (density) fabrics and lightweight aluminium poles reduces weight but also sacrifices the strength of the tent. In general, it will still hold up to the elements.

Features - The Dragonfly has excellent features. Large vestibules and 5 generous internal pockets make for an accessible living space for longer hiking trips. 2 pole setup.

Size/Weight - Packed size of 50x12cm, weight of 1.4kg. This is where the Nemo shines. It is incredibly lightweight.

Versatility - This is a great hiking tent for longer trips where weight really matters. The tapered design means it is less comfortable for standard camping.

Overall - Excellent pure hiking tent.
