Our Analysis & Ratings

For the price this kayak tracks surprisingly well, is fairly stable and isn't too hard to handle. Our main knocks on it are that it's made with thin materials that may be susceptible to puncture and it's slow in the water. Easy to dry, it's an ok budget option but only for recreational use in good conditions.

Performance - Tracks much better in a straight line than we anticipated. It is a bit of a wide kayak but it's still fairly easy to manoeuvre and is stable. It just drags a bit in the water so struggles to get a high top speed and we wouldn't want to use it in rough conditions.

Construction - Made of a PVC vinyl laminate with a polyester core, it's just a little bit flimsy. We have concerns it would puncture if snagged or rubbed up against the rocks etc.

Setup/Pack down - Fairly easy to inflate. The pump it comes with is a bit hard to work with and we are not fans of the valves on the kayak. It's easy to dry though which is a big plus.

Portability - One of the heavier kayaks we reviewed at 17kg, however it folds down to quite a small size. We marked it down as it does sacrifice a bit of quality in the materials to increase portability.

Comfort - Some of the features that come with the boat are good, including the removable footrests. The inflatable seats however are a bit uncomfortable and make it hard to create a good surface to paddle from.

Overall - Stable, ok handling. Just slow & made with thin materials.
