Our Analysis & Ratings

The Navarro 145 kayak from Aquaglide is dependable and durable. With a drop-stitch floor and 600 denier hex ripstop polyester construction, it’s well-made and equipped with practically everything you could possibly need. It's a versatile kayak for folks going downriver, touring or cruising and you can use it for solo paddling or kayaking with a friend.

Performance - Despite its length, the Navarro 145 is manoeuvrable and stable, managing choppy waves with ease, and it's easy and comfortable to paddle, but going in a straight course can be a bit of a challenge.

Construction - With a drop-stitch floor and 600-denier hex ripstop polyester, it is a well-constructed kayak for a range of climates. If required, it can be converted to a single cockpit. Storage space and an additional rear storage hatch are available on the long front deck.

Setup/Pack down - Due to swapping between several valve adaptors, the Aquaglide Navarro 145 takes roughly 12 minutes to unpack, inflate and install everything. Just remember to bring a pump as one is not included. The duffel bag's wide opening and drawstring make it simple to pack up, but it may take some time for the polyester covering to dry.

Portability - The duffel bag the Navarro 145 comes with has sturdy straps, but it’s small and doesn't have room inside for a pump or paddle, so you'll need to carry those separately. It also doesn't come with paddles, either. It can be quite difficult to transport everything to your launch place because, by itself, the kayak weighs 16.3kg.

Comfort - The Navarro 145 has plush seat cushions, high backrests and adjustable seats. In cold weather, the spray skirt keeps you warmer and dryer than you would in other kayaks.

Overall - The Navarro 145 tandem kayak from Aquaglide is fantastic value for the money and has a nice design and performance for recreational usage.
